My StoryWhen I was a child I was raised in a household where food was a constant source of comfort and love. By the time I reached high school I weighed 182lbs at 5' 3" tall. By the BMI charts I was considered obese. I didn't want to experience my college years feeling the way I had all throughout high school: either invisible or distained.
I lost 30 pounds and my whole world shifted. The discipline I learned from my weight loss journey fed into the next season of my life which serves as another area of coaching specialty: walking through dark seasons. Most of my adult life has been marked by abuse and trauma. I have struggled deeply with my mental health but have reached the other side for a purpose: to help others survive their dark seasons. One of the most important things I want to share with clients now is that my areas of struggle are still ongoing. I still work on my health and mental health every day. Rewriting my own story after abuse, divorce and trauma has given me a thirst for connection to others in their painful growth season. I am so excited to join you in your unique journey of triumph! |
I am currently in the best shape of my life and I know that it has freed me to work on myself personally. I could not use my weight as an excuse.
